Vegetarian diet for three weeks along with a daily helping of cranberry juice to help flush out the kidneys and digestive system. At your size I doubt you'd need it.

Look, you are not a walking bag of toxins and you do not need to drink or eat anything unusual to detoxify yourself. You already own the world's most efficient onboard filters for the purpose- you call them your liver and kidneys. Your body already removes waste, in urine and feces, on a regular basis. Nothing you can eat is going to leach things out of your body, at least not things like heavy metals. It just doesn't work that way. If you want to keep your body in tip top form for swimming, the best thing you could do is simply eat a well balanced diet, heavy on the whole grains, fruits and veggies, and light on refined foods, fast foods, red meat, and fats. Drinking water is fine, and you can do that whenever you drink liquid. It doesn't even have to be straight water either. Your body routinely gets the fluid it needs from all the food you eat, even if it's not drunk. Melons are primarily water and fiber, as are many fruits and veggies. You also will want to up the calcium intake, so you have material to build bone and muscle with. The best sources of that are still dairy products, but you just don't need all the fat. So stick with low to no fat dairy products like milk, cheese, and yogurt. Avoid the empty calories in junk foods and sodas. Do not try mixing up concoctions of strange things to eat or drink. They simply don't work, and your body won't appreciate the effort to help out. All you have to do is eat right, and trust your body knows what to do with the rest. That's the most natural way going.

Drink plenty of water. One way to make sure you drink enough water is to check your urine. If it is clear then you are drinking a good amount. If it is still yellow drink more water.

There's no such things as "toxins" and detoxing is a complete scam. Bring it up in front of actual doctors and they will laugh till they cry. Master Cleanse in particular is a crock of BS designed to steal the money of foolish and desperate people. I wouldn't waste my money to risk my baby's life. "Detoxing" has no benefits and many risks. The risk isn't that these mythical toxins will somehow get to your baby, the risk is that not eating right to do this ridiculous bit of quackery will deprive your body and your baby of much needed nutrients.

Also, asking your answers to be limited to natural health practicioners implies that you've already made up your mind, since you don't want people to answer if they might disagree with what you already believe to be true. You might as well ask a chimp for medical advice, they're as helpful as an herbalist.

Detox is a scam, the term doesn't actually exist except in the minds of the deluded.

When you next visit your doctor, please ask him/her about 'detox'. Do not be surprised if you get laughed at.

Scam medicine is not something you should be risking your baby's life with.

I'm not a certified natural health practitioner but I will give you my opinion anyhow as am a natural health enthusiast and pregnant as well. I love deep cleanses, but to do one while pregnant is not a good idea and unless it was life/death I would not consider it. Often a deep cleanse will release toxins so efficiently and quickly that you can suffer a heximer reaction which makes you feel worse before better, somewhat poisoning your body momentarily before eliminating it because if must be released into your body before it can be eliminated. The first stage of pregnancy is crucial in the baby's development and illnesses etc in this stage can do a lot of harm to a baby increasing the chances for birth defects etc.

Even if the toxins don't actually touch the baby, they put you under the weather for a bit and affect your body's performance as it is.

In addition, our immune systems are not as strong in during pregnancy for a reason (I've always believed it is to provide an easier growth for the baby- for example, cancer fighting properties in green tea can negatively affect nervous system development of a fetus.. suggesting that maybe our immune systems are down a bit so as to enable all necessary growth to take place and at the same time possibly not reject anything baby related? Just a thought). So since our immune systems are down, the heximer reaction could probably knock us on our A$$ES, also opening the door to other infections/diseases.

Finally, many cleanses require certain dietary guidelines to be followed and the baby could possibly be denied some of the most important vitamins/fats/minerals during its development.

All in all, I'm going to wait until I have the baby to do a cleanse. I suggest you do too. For now, I've just been drinking certain herbal teas here and there and taking liquid chlorophyll as well as drinking many fluids to make sure I'm at least doing a little housekeeping in my body.

You shouldn't do any strong type of detox especially Master cleanse since the baby needs all the nutrients and healthy fats that it can get. But u can just try squeezing half a Lemon and drink it 1st ting in the morning(it will do very little detoxing). Master cleanse require you to stop eating anything for a week or so which is highly NOT recommended during pregnancy.

I am not a doctor or anything but putting the common sense and the research i do on internet i put these together..... And yea once u have a baby u should take castor oil if you are going to breast feet ur child(it is highly recommended unless u have breast cancer or so for at least half a year and more)
